Oahu Bulky Item Collection by Sector

Bulky Collection – Monthly Pickup Expanding Islandwide

By July 2006, all areas of the island will be on a no-call, regular monthly collection schedule for bulky item pickup. See the map and sector descriptions below for your region’s schedule and start date.

Pickup is conducted over a 3-4 day period. All your items must be placed at curbside, in front of your property, by 6:00 am on the first day or they may not be collected. Bulky items must not be placed at the curb any earlier than the day before your collection day.

Honolulu: Salt Lake to Hawaii Kai

  • Sector 1: Foster Village, Aliamanu, Salt Lake, and Moanalua Valley.
    From Halawa Stream to the intersection of Middle Street and H-1 Freeway; includes areas of Kalihi and Palama that are makai of North King Street, between Middle Street and Liliha Street.
    1st Monday
  • Sector 2: Alewa Heights, Puunui, Kalihi, Kalihi Valley and Kamehameha Heights. Includes areas that are mauka of North King Street, between Middle Street and Liliha Street; ewa of Waolani Avenue and makai of Wyllie Street.
    1st Wednesday
  • Sector 3: Dowsett Highlands, Nuuanu Valley, Pacific Heights, Pauoa, Punchbowl, and Papakolea. From Liliha Street to Pensacola Street; Koko Head of Waolani Avenue and mauka of Wyllie Street.
    2nd Monday
  • Sector 4: Tantalus, Makiki, and Manoa. From Pensacola Street to Punahou Street; Ewa of Kalakaua Avenue and mauka of Philip Street; mauka of H-1 Freeway and ewa of East-West Road.
    2nd Wednesday
  • Sector 5: McCully, Kapahulu, Kaimuki, and the Ewa side of Diamond Head to the lighthouse. From Punahou Street to Makapuu Avenue, Crater Road, and Koko Head Avenue; makai of Bingham Street and Waialae Avenue.
    3rd Monday
  • Sector 6: St. Louis Heights, Palolo Valley, Maunalani Heights, and Wilhelmina Rise. From East-West Road to Hunakai Street, mauka of Waialae Avenue; includes the area of Kaimuki bounded by Waialae Avenue, a portion of 21st Avenue, 22nd Avenue, Diamond Head Road, Makapuu Avenue, Ocean View Drive, and Koko Head Avenue.
    3rd Wednesday
  • Sector 7: Kahala, Waialae Nui, Kalani Valley, Waialae Iki, Aina Haina, Hawaii Loa Ridge, Wailupe Peninsula, and the Koko Head side of Diamond Head to the lighthouse. From 22nd Avenue and Hunakai Street to Hawaii Loa Street.
    4th Monday
  • Sector 8: Niu Valley, Kuliouou, Hahaione Valley, Hawaii Kai, Mariner's Ridge, Portlock, Kalama Valley, and Queen's Gate. From Hawaii Loa Street to Kalama Valley.
    4th Wednesday

West Oahu: Halawa to Makakilo

  • Sector 11: Makakilo, Kapolei and Barber’s Point Housing
