Some comments and feedback from attendees and volunteers:

"I learned a lot about the environment, and how we can help the environment by recycling, and not wasting things that can be recycle. This experience made me realize that I should start recycling because I seem to be wasting a lot of things that can be reusable. I learned that helping the community is good because it makes you feel good about yourself and it makes others proud of you. I think that it's great that everyone is trying to give back to the community."

"The recycling fair helped me master the course competency of utilizing sources. The fair provided me a plethora of information about things I didn't know before. I got so much handouts about recycling companies and other environmental services that I'm not sure I can use it all just for one paper. Also I made new contacts with those companies because a lot of the booth workers who work at the various companies gave me their contact information, so I'll be able to ask questions or be able to even take tours of their work sites. I wasn't expecting to get offers from the both workers to let us take tours of where they work."

"What I learned about my role in the community is I can make a difference. If I just recycled at least one can or a few newspapers a day it would make a big impact. If everybody did that then we would be helping the environment tremendously. Also I would try to influence others to recycle with the new knowledge and insight I learned at the recycling fair."

"I learned that cell phones and computers can be recycled. I didn't know that was possible. Also cans and bottles can be made into clothing. I thought that was pretty neat and interesting. I don't understand why recycling isn't promoted here as in other countries. When I went to Canada shopping centers, parks, and various other locations had trash cans, but they also had a recycling container next to the trash can for soda bottles and aluminum cans. I found that very interesting because we don't have that here and I thought that was a really good idea to get people to recycle more. Overall I enjoyed helping out at the fair because I got to do something I normally don't do on a daily basis. I also learned a lot of interesting things volunteering at the fair, which was entirely unexpected."
