Service Disruption and Delays Alert

We are committed to maintaining good customer service and to make every effort to provide the public with convenient, courteous and uninterrupted service. But it happens -- trucks breakdown and you come home to find your refuse still standing at the curb. H-POWER is full and closes its gates for the day, or repair and maintenance work at a particular disposal site forces traffic to be diverted to other facilities. Because of increased traffic, wait times may increase at the landfill and convenience centers. Disruptions and delays in service are undoubtedly inconvenient for the public. Please be assured that we are working diligently to correct the problems quickly. When these situations occur, communicating the problem and the alternatives to the public can help to ease any frustrations.

Service disruptions and delays are posted here. You may also call your collection yard or the disposal site for more information. Click here to contact us.

H-POWER -- Due to re-surfacing a section of the receiving floor, in the MSW bldg. on Sunday, March 16 through Wednesday, March 19, the schedule for receipts of waste is as follows:

  • No trucks will be accepted Monday, March 17 through Wednesday, March 19
  • Beginning Thursday, March 20 through Saturday, March 21, only City & County transfer trailers and route trucks.
  • The facility will be open to all trucks starting Saturday, March 22

There will likely be delays for refuse pickup in your area, please leave your refuse cart at the curb. If we cannot get to it by the end of the day, it will be collected on the very next day.
